Summer Solstice

Summer Solstice

It is the time of the summer solstice when our sun makes its northernmost journey this time of year to our northern hemisphere; A time when the most photons are illuminating the northern part of our earth and the least on the southern part.

We are wise to study our ancient cultures in why they would embrace the seasons of the year so fully that they would create stone circles and edifices that would measure these rhythms and cycles. Most notably, the two equinoxes when the sun is directly over the equator and the two solstices, summer and winter.

We are very much a part of nature as anything else on this planet. Many make the mistake of saying that we are in nature but it's more accurate to say we are nature. After all every molecule in our bodies came out of this planet at some point.

Take some time during the solstice to admire and acknowledge the intricate synchrony of the workings of nature and how you have the capacity to tune into these rhythms and to be in a flow that is much more conducive to the workings of all things.

Wisdom to Realization

Wisdom to Realization

For many years I've taught practitioners a form of subtle energy medicine that addresses the whole human being at the level of the chakras. For many of the characters were brain mystery in that they are called centers of energy but more correctly centers of consciousness in that these centers are conduits that flow consciousness between the physical, astral and causal bodies.

Center of the chakra is said to be where everything and nothing exists in the same moment and these conduits can serve to awaken an individual to higher levels of awareness.

So the teachings are that information can become knowledge, knowledge can become wisdom, but wisdom can only become higher levels of realization through awareness and that means spiritual awareness as the chakras flour and awaken.

That is why it is so important to move beyond wisdom itself even though gained by experience to cultivate your spiritual practices that stimulates and awakens the chakras providing that higher level of awareness towards realization.

Alchemy of Manifestation

Contrary to popular belief, manifestation is not creation. As I wrote in my last blog creation means to bring something from nothing and is more related to the second chakra. Manifestation means to be able to alchemically transform from one thing into another and is more related to the third chakra.

That is, an example of manifestation would be if you work for 10 hours and then your number of hours of work is transformed into money. That is the alchemical aspect of what manifestation is. Another example is to be able to manifest something in the astral dimension into the physical dimension.

The power that makes this so is the intuitive ability in the third chakra called incisiveness which means to see things as they are and to get to the root of the thing thus constituted. So, if you really want to manifest something in your life you cannot just only will it to be so but have to be willing to accept the truth of what you desire in its highest and greatest form for your well-being.

Something from nothing

Something from Nothing

Bringing something from nothing as a reference to the second chakra which is located just below the navel; that is in my over 30 years of spiritual counseling and research I have found that each chakra has unique intuitive faculties that are working full time all the time.

In particular, the power of the second chakra is what I call the energy of the Mystic. It means to be able to intuitively perceive how something could be as whole and complete. The mystery is that one must have faith that the outcome is even greater than one could imagine and the magic elixir to make this occur is the ferocious employment of that interfaith.

It doesn't turn out always the way you want but it does turn out the way that is needed. And in this way, you truly can bring something from nothing if you're willing to let your inner true spiritual needs fruit through faith.

Spring Equinox

Spring Equinox

Where we are located here at the Bamboo Garden Wellness Center in Encinitas is right next to the boundary between Encinitas and Rancho Santa Fe where a little bridge covers the stream. And I noticed just this week the din of countless numbers of frogs emerging, singing their ritual of awakening to the coming of spring.

Because our human biology is very attuned to the cycles, rhythms and seasons of earth it is important, as our ancestors did, to honor these seasons and what they represent. That is, spring is a time of renewal, of coming forth, and of bringing forth the latent energies that have been stored up during the winter months.

This does not just apply to regions that experience a from a region that experiences a true cold winter and hot summer but to all parts of our planet.

Therefore, let us use this time wisely to give some thought as to what energy we are bringing forth, what has been stored up and what is time to renew in our lives with vigor and for us to truly thrive.

Integral health means body, mind and spirit. Take a moment and offer yourself the opportunity to fertilize all three and to bask in the coming sun of further inner illumination.

Being as Topos

Being as Topos

In my almost 35 years of energy medicine, I've observed that more than 95% of all communication is not verbal or physical but rather energy. We radiate not just the energy of our biofields but our consciousness as well. It is like a brilliant light that radiates from the center of our being ceaselessly.

“Being as Topos” is just simply a way of saying that we are the energy that we represent or the level of awareness that we have achieved. This is why so often we are attracted to men and women who have achieved a high state of spiritual awareness because they are radiating that quality 24/7.

In fact, whether we know it or not we all take a psychic relationship to each other long before the mind ever thinks a single thought. And we always bring people into our lives who represent the possibility of our own inner further growth.

So one way of raising the quality of your path is by associating and aligning yourself with those who represent that achievement or level (Being as Topos) and therefore you are affected by their state of vibration.

Happy Lunar New Year!

Happy Lunar New Year, the Year of the Wood Snake!  Like western astrology, Chinese astrology has to do with the cosmic and planetary effects on our well-being and progress through life. The Chinese cycle consists of 12 different signs and elements of which this year we are going into the year of the wood snake.

This is a year to really trust your instincts. It's also interesting to me because in so many ancient cultures the snake image had nothing to do with the reptile it had more to do with inner wisdom. That is wisdom that is not just obtained by external experience but by internal insights.

It is also really super important that as there is much change going on as you could very easily see it's also a time to make sure that you're embracing the change at your own pace. That is use the power of your will to capture the moment fully and completely and to remember that you are in charge of your choices and your responses.

This year, take the time for reflection, for introspection. And to simplify as much as possible your life. This year is entirely about really trusting your inner knowing and trusting your inner timing rather than simply being affected by outward distractions.
